You are welcome to the Women’s Class of Degtyarniye Baths!

 

“Degtyarniye Baths” is a complex of baths and saunas, designed for those who appreciate the healthful relaxation in a luxurious atmosphere. Here you can forget about the everyday worries and dive into the world of bliss and insouciance.

“Degtyarniye Baths” is a “Russian SPA” with a long history and old traditions in the very heart of St. Petersburg.

You will be washed, given a birch twig massage and presented with health and beauty here!

 

The Women’s Class has a traditional Russian Banya (steam room), a Turkish Bath, a Massage and Soap Area, a Bar with herbal teas and excellent home-style cuisine, a Relaxation Area with comfortable couches, a Wax Cabinet, a Classic Massage Cabinet, a Solarium, Changing Rooms with lockers and Toilets.

 

A few simple steps and rules to enjoy your experience in Degtyarniye Baths:

1. Get a key for your personal locker and sheets at the reception desk. Here you can also get a robe and a towel.

 

2. You can leave your clothes and belongings in the Changing Room and take only bathing accessories with you. You can leave all your valuables (jewelry, keys and documents) in the safe at reception.

 

Clean rubber slippers can be found in wicker baskets in the Changing Room.

 

3. The entrance to the Soap Area is right opposite the Changing Room. And here comes the fun.

Remember that you must not enter the Soap Area with drinking glasses, cups and glass bottles.

 

What is what in the Soap Area:

On the right hand of the entrance you can find 4 showers, a Charcot shower system (can be used only in the presence of a specialist), a “tropical shower”, a “waterfall” and a “barrel” of cold water to pour it out on yourself after visiting a steam room and, of course, the Russian Banya.

Before coming through the wooden door of the Russian Banya take a felt hat from the bench near the entrance and wear it to protect your head from overheating. Here you will also see the veniks (bunches of dried branches and leaves) which will be selected by our expert at your request.

 

In the center of the Soap Area, directly across from the entrance, is an icy water bath where you can plunge into after a hot steam bath.

 

On the left hand of the entrance you can find the heated stone beds. Here you can relax in between treatments.

There is a Turkish bath opposite the beds— a hammam and a shower. 

 

There is a Massage Area behind the glass door.

Here you can get such services as a soapy massage, a body scrub massage and a birch twig massage.

Honey, seaweed and chocolate wraps.

Body, head and face massages.

Coffee, salt and tropical scrubs.

4. A vertical Solarium is located behind the glass door opposite the Changing Room entrance.

After all the procedures have a rest in the soft armchairs of our cosy cafe with a cup of herbal tea or a glass of fresh juice. It will be a great finale and will make you completely happy!
